ARRISE is proactively helping to promote green living and protect natural habitats. Joined by the Mai Mult Verde Association for a tree planting day in Talpa, the ARRISE team presented the organisation with a €10,000 donation on behalf of Pragmatic Play. Mai Mult Verde Association is one of the largest environmental groups in Romania. They have planted over 1.6 million seedlings, spread across approximately 320 hectares of land. With our support, the association can continue its Gift A Tree campaign, which aims to counteract the 15 million trees that are cut down annually in Romania. This will create more natural urban spaces and improve air quality, as well as people’s overall wellbeing. By planting saplings, ARRISE is helping the local ecosystem for generations to come. 

Presenting a €20,000 donation on behalf of Pragmatic Play to the Millions of Friends Association (Asociatia Milioane de Prieteni), we are supporting the Libearty Bear Sanctuary in Romania. Half of the donation has gone towards a new baby bear enclosure, with the sanctuary now able to house four new orphaned bear cubs in a healthy environment with fresh clean water and a pool. The remainder has been put towards new heat pumps, reducing heating costs for the administrative and medical zones, providing hot water consistently for the medical area, and maximising efficiency of the solar panel installation in the sanctuary. 

The team at ARRISE has visited the Women for Women Foundation in Malta to present a €15,000 donation on behalf of Pragmatic Play.  

Established in 2015, the Women for Women Foundation is a non-profit organisation dedicated to empowering women and girls by providing access to education, promoting financial literacy, and advocating for gender equality. Their efforts aiding women who have endured domestic violence, homelessness, and mental health challenges ensure that women and their families navigate tough times with a support system around them. This donation will facilitate the extension and renovation of the foundation’s current premises, enabling them to expand their reach and empower more women in Malta. 

We have presented a donation of €10,000 on behalf of Pragmatic Play to Soup Kitchen OFM Valetta, where the team from our Malta hub spent time volunteering and assisting with the provision of meals. With the rising cost of living and growing homeless population in Valetta, the organisation helps to alleviate stress by providing healthy, balanced and nutritious food in addition to other services, such as shower and wash facilities, live music, meditation, computer classes, and discussion groups. The donation will go towards the installation of a new AC system, making the centre more welcoming and pleasant during the hot summer months.  

The team at ARRISE travelled to Fort Rinella to present another €20,000 donation made on behalf of Pragmatic Play.  

Fondazzjoni Wirt Artna, the Malta Heritage Trust, is a dedicated non-governmental organisation committed to preserving and managing Malta’s cultural heritage. The funding will contribute to the preservation of Fort Rinella, a distinctive Victorian fort used throughout WW2 and the last century that features historic remnants of Malta’s colonial past. Supporting non-profits like Fondazzjoni Wirt Artna helps to safeguard national heritage and celebrate the stories of those connected to locations like Fort Rinella. 

ARRISE and several members of the Alternativa 2003 Association were joined by Santa and his merry elf as we celebrated the festive season with a €10,000 donation to the organisation, made on behalf of Pragmatic Play.  

Alternativa 2003 Association is a Romanian non-profit supporting young people with intellectual disabilities like Down syndrome. The funding will be used towards the charity’s vital work in education, vocational training, social assistance, and counselling, fostering a brighter future for these young individuals and promoting wider social acceptance for people with intellectual disabilities.
