ARRISE has donated €20,000 to conservation experts Ogyre. The donation will further Ogyre’s invaluable ocean cleanup efforts as it aims to extract 1,000 tonnes of waste from the oceans by the end of 2024, helping to maintain important ecosystems and promote a sustainable future.

The funding will also allow Ogyre to continue its support of fishing communities by organising expeditions with locals to collect and responsibly dispose of waste from affected areas. This support highlights our focus on protecting the environment, with sustainability initiatives such as Fishing for Litter crucial to shaping our future.

We have donated €10,000 on behalf of Pragmatic Play to Kola Kariola, a non-profit organisation that rescues and rehabilitates injured, abandoned or vulnerable animals in Romania, providing shelter and security.

The donation will support the organisation’s Papi Land Sanctuary, which is home to a diverse range of rescued animals, including horses, donkeys, cows, sheep, pigs, birds, and more. The sanctuary provides an environment that closely resembles a natural habitat for animals, and our support will help to increase their capacity to look after animals in need of help.

The ARRISE team visited the sanctuary and witnessed first-hand the crucial work that Kola Kariola undertakes, and we are proud to support its Papi Land Sanctuary to promote animal welfare.

On International Women’s Day, we made a €10,000 donation on behalf of Pragmatic Play to the ANAIS Association, a charitable organisation that promotes gender equality, defends the rights of women, and supports victims of domestic violence.  

ANAIS was founded in 2011 with the intention of enacting change, both through the foundation of support networks and by campaigning for alterations to local policy and legislation. In over a decade since its inception, ANAIS’ team of psychologists, psychotherapists, lawyers, trainers, and volunteers has worked tirelessly to support women and children. The donation will enable ANAIS to continue its invaluable work and make progress towards a safer community for those affected. 

ARRISE has presented the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) with a €10,000 donation on behalf of Pragmatic Play. Since 2006, the WWF has diligently worked towards safeguarding the Carpathian Mountains and Danube regions, focusing on the restoration of rivers, forests, and freshwater habitats alongside local communities. Part of a broader focus on championing environmental causes and advancing wildlife conservation efforts, the contribution played a pivotal role in supporting the Earth Hour event at the Botanical Garden of Bucharest in March. With over 50,000 participants actively involved, the event served as a beacon for sustainability throughout Romania. 

ARRISE is proactively helping to promote green living and protect natural habitats. Joined by the Mai Mult Verde Association for a tree planting day in Talpa, the ARRISE team presented the organisation with a €10,000 donation on behalf of Pragmatic Play. Mai Mult Verde Association is one of the largest environmental groups in Romania. They have planted over 1.6 million seedlings, spread across approximately 320 hectares of land. With our support, the association can continue its Gift A Tree campaign, which aims to counteract the 15 million trees that are cut down annually in Romania. This will create more natural urban spaces and improve air quality, as well as people’s overall wellbeing. By planting saplings, ARRISE is helping the local ecosystem for generations to come. 

Presenting a €20,000 donation on behalf of Pragmatic Play to the Millions of Friends Association (Asociatia Milioane de Prieteni), we are supporting the Libearty Bear Sanctuary in Romania. Half of the donation has gone towards a new baby bear enclosure, with the sanctuary now able to house four new orphaned bear cubs in a healthy environment with fresh clean water and a pool. The remainder has been put towards new heat pumps, reducing heating costs for the administrative and medical zones, providing hot water consistently for the medical area, and maximising efficiency of the solar panel installation in the sanctuary.
