ARRISE SUPPORTS ALS MALTA’S DAR BJORN INITIATIVE

ARRISE has made a donation to ALS Malta’s DAR Bjorn development project to sponsor a room in its new residential facility on behalf of Pragmatic Play. This expansion will create a state-of-the-art living space equipped with the latest medical technology specifically designed to enhance the lives of individuals with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), multiple sclerosis (MS), and other neurological conditions.

ALS Malta provides ongoing support and campaigning for those who suffer from neurological disabilities. Its DAR Bjorn facility has been vital in fostering a community and providing residents an area where they can receive compassionate care and therapy. Among the services provided at the residential facility are physiotherapy and counselling services as well as specialised treatments for those in need of temporary care. This new centre will feature an Unwinding Area, providing a tranquil space for patients to relax and recover, created with our donation of €20,000.

TACKLING ELDERLY LONELINESS WITH €10,000 CONTRIBUTION TO NICIODATA SINGUR ASSOCIATION

We were joined by both the members and volunteers of the Niciodata Singur Association for an outing to mark our donation to the organisation made on behalf of Pragmatic Play.

The association provides weekly home visits and phone calls as well as the organisation of regular activities and events to seniors at risk of being isolated. Thanks to its incredible volunteer work, Niciodata Singur alleviates elderly loneliness, increasing their quality of life through practical and moral support. Specifically targeting those with low income and a lack of family support, Niciodata Singur Association promotes the reintegration of vulnerable elderly people back into the community.

The donation was used to fund the day out and will go towards the day-to-day activities of the association. In addition, an amount has also been allocated for the organisation of the Christmas party, which will bring together seniors across Bucharest for a festive celebration.

ARRISE DONATES TO TWO HORSE CHARITIES IN MALTA

ARRISE has donated €15,000 on behalf of Pragmatic Play to two incredible organisations in Malta that carry out invaluable work with horses and many of the island’s residents.

RMJ Horse Rescue in Siggiewi is currently home to over 80 rescued horses, many with special needs, and rehomes up to nine of them to the UK each month. This latest donation will go towards the relocation fees to allow seven horses to retire to new homes in the UK, so that they can spend their lives in the best possible environments.

Dreams of Horses Farm in Xaghra, Gozo, is a multi-purpose farm, offering unique fun and therapeutic experiences to visitors through hands-on interactive learning programs with the horses and the many other farm animals. Dreams of Horses is currently building more stables along with upgraded facilities for those who visit for therapy, especially those with special needs.

We’re proud to support the vital work that is undertaken by both fantastic projects and we look forward to seeing the fruits of the financial support we’ve been able to provide.

ARRISE ATTENDS AUTISM VOICE ASSOCIATION’S BALL OF JOY FUNDRAISER EVENT

ARRISE proudly participated in the Autism Voice Association’s Ball of Joy event, presenting the organisation with a €20,000 donation on behalf of Pragmatic Play. With the donation, the organisation will be able to continue its valuable services, including the work done through therapy centres that help over 400 children with autism from disadvantaged communities.

Being able to attend the event enlightened the ARRISE team even more about the work undertaken by the Autism Voice Association, in particular its specialised therapies and treatments. The initiative enabled us to hear directly from practitioners and families about the life-changing services benefitting local communities thanks to the association’s services – a cause we are very proud to support.

DONATING €20,000 TO THE ZETTA ASSOCIATION IN SUPPORT OF BREAST CANCER AWARENESS

Volunteers, medical staff, patients, and Doctor Dragos Zamfirescu from Zetta Association joined us at an event in Zetta Association’s hospital in Bucharest, where together with ARRISE team we celebrated the €20,000 donation on behalf of Pragmatic Play that helped the association to perform pro bono surgeries to other patients that need support. The impact of the association is truly remarkable, having carried out over 440 procedures free of charge in the field of plastic and reconstructive microsurgery for adults and children who have suffered from serious health problems.

The Zetta Association is a non-governmental organisation that was established in 2017 to help people requiring sophisticated aesthetic and reconstructive surgery following a serious illness who may not be able to afford the high medical costs.

Made in honour of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the donation to the association will go towards supporting breast cancer patients with reconstructive surgery, helping them in their journey toward recovery and improved wellbeing.
