The Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Network Security Architect to design, implement, and maintain secure network infrastructures. This role involves developing robust security frameworks, integrating advanced security tools and ensuring compliance with security best practices. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in network security architecture, network perimeter protection, cloud network security (especially AWS), PKI and modern security technologies to safeguard enterprise networks from evolving cyber threats.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in network security design to protect against cyber risks while maintaining high performance and reasonable management overhead.
- Review existing network designs to identify vulnerabilities and recommend security improvements.
- Evaluate and optimize configurations of network devices, including firewalls, switches, security appliances, and relevant cloud security components.
- Promote security best practices among network administrators through guidance, training, and policy development.
- Create network security-related SOPs and guardrails to standardize secure network management.
- Automate network security reviews and analysis where practical, leveraging scripting and security tools.
- Design and maintain internal PKI systems to support encryption in transit and authentication mechanisms.
- Contribute to security monitoring efforts by optimizing SIEM tools, log shipping, and security alerting mechanisms.
- Support information security policies by contributing to relevant network security standards and procedures.
- Lead DDoS protection activities, ensuring network resilience against large-scale cyberattacks.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Alternatively you will hold top level certifications such as CCIE or similar.
- 10+ years of experience in network security architecture, design, and implementation.
- Strong knowledge of firewalls (Palo Alto, Cisco, Fortinet), IDS/IPS and VPN solutions.
- Experience x509 certificate management and PKI.
- Hands-on experience with encryption standards, authentication protocols, routing, network segmentation, and perimeter protection.
- Familiarity with Zero-Trust models, IAM frameworks, SIEM, and compliance standards.
- Certifications such as CCNP, GIAC, AWS, GCP, Azure, CEH, CCSP, or HashiCorp Vault Associate/Expert are a plus.
