The role:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Learning Management System (LMS) Administrator to join our team. Reporting to the L&D Manager, this role is critical to ensuring the efficient and effective operation of our learning platform. The LMS Administrator will be responsible for the day-to-day management, maintenance, and optimization of our LMS, providing technical support to users and ensuring the seamless delivery of all online learning initiatives. This position requires a proactive individual with a strong understanding of technical systems and a commitment to providing excellent user support, with a focus on leveraging advanced LMS functionalities for enhanced learning experiences.
Responsibilities:
- LMS Administration & Maintenance: Oversee the daily operations, configuration, and health of the LMS (e.g., system settings, integrations, branding).
- User Management: Manage user accounts, profiles, roles, and permissions within the LMS, including onboarding, offboarding, group assignments, and the creation and management of ‘power users’ with elevated access.
- Course & Content Management: Upload, publish, assign, and manage learning content (e.g., courses, modules, assessments, resources) ensuring accurate categorization and version control.
- Reporting & Analytics: Generate, analyze, and distribute standard and custom reports on learning activities, course completions, user engagement, and other key metrics to support L&D initiatives and business insights.
- Technical Support & Troubleshooting: Provide timely and effective first-line technical support to LMS users (learners, instructors, administrators) for issues related to access, course functionality, and platform navigation. Escalate complex issues as needed.
- Enhancing Learning Experience Features:
- Managing Gamification: Configure and oversee gamification elements (e.g., badges, points, leaderboards) to drive learner engagement and motivation.
- Facilitating Social Learning: Set up and manage social learning features within the LMS (e.g., discussion forums, communities of practice, peer learning groups).
- Developing Learning Plans & Paths: Design, implement, and manage structured learning plans, programs, and career paths within the LMS.
- Supporting Skill Management: Configure and maintain skill frameworks and competency management features within the LMS, associating skills with content and learner profiles.
- Creating Evaluations: Develop and implement various evaluation methods.
- System Optimization & Best Practices: Continuously monitor LMS performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement best practices for content delivery and user experience.
- Data Integrity: Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of data within the LMS.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for LMS processes, configurations, and common troubleshooting steps.
Requirements:
- LMS Administration Expertise: Proven experience in administering and managing a Learning Management System. Docebo platform experience is a strong plus.
- Technical Aptitude: Strong ability to understand, troubleshoot, and navigate technical systems and software. Familiarity with integration concepts (APIs, SCORM, xAPI) is beneficial.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous accuracy in managing data, configuring settings, and organizing content.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Communication & Support: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a customer service-oriented approach to providing user support and explaining technical concepts clearly.
- Data Management & Reporting: Ability to work with data, generate reports, and present findings clearly.
- Organizational Skills: Exceptional organizational and time management skills, capable of handling multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Proactivity: Ability to work independently, anticipate needs, and take initiative in maintaining system health and leveraging new features.
