Role Description:
The Network Coordinator ensures the reliable performance, security, and maintenance of the organization’s network systems. This role manages network infrastructure, troubleshoots issues, and supports IT projects to ensure seamless connectivity and optimal network performance across the organization.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Design, install, and configure LAN, WAN, VPN, WLAN, and network systems to ensure high availability and performance
  • Oversee the setup and configuration of switches, routers, firewalls, and load balancers (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, Nexus)
  • Implement and maintain routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP
  • Collaborate with cloud providers to maintain and optimize hybrid cloud infrastructure
  • Monitor and maintain network infrastructure using tools like SolarWinds and PRTG
  • Perform network diagnostics, troubleshooting, and performance tuning to ensure optimal operation
  • Administer and maintain firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPN solutions for secure remote access
  • Ensure the availability and stability of enterprise-level network services
  • Implement and manage ACLs, VPNs, firewalls, and IDS/IPS solutions to maintain network security
  • Collaborate with security teams to ensure compliance with industry standards such as ISO, NIST, and PCI-DSS
  • Regularly audit network configurations and apply necessary patches and updates
  • Maintain detailed documentation for network configurations, changes, and procedures
  • Provide regular status reports on network performance, incidents, and upcoming projects
  • Mentor junior network engineers and administrators
  • Work closely with systems administrators, security teams, and other IT personnel
  • Engage with vendors and service providers to resolve issues and manage procurement
 
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in network administration, preferably in an enterprise environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, or similar network devices
  • Proven experience with network protocols like BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and VPNs
  • Strong knowledge of network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds and PRTG
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to work after hours or on weekends for network upgrades or outages
 
Nice to Have:
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE)
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or equivalent certifications
  • Experience with hybrid cloud environments and compliance with industry standards
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
