What Would You Be Doing:
  • Responsible for the monthly payroll processing for Romania, ensuring compliance with local labor laws and taxation
  • Stay informed about local legislation changes and proactively identify areas for improvement to enhance payroll and local procedures efficiency
  • Provide ad-hoc payroll support for other entities as required, while maintaining strict confidentiality at all times
  • Actively participate in the day-to-day HR operations activities of the company, ensuring compliance with local labor regulations and industry best practices
 
Leave Management:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of employee leave, including vacation, sick leave, parental leave, and other types of absences
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations related to leave entitlements.
  • Coordinate with managers to approve and track leave requests and manage leave balances in the payroll system.
 
Data Management and Reporting:
  • Maintain employee payroll and leave data in the HR/payroll system.
  • Prepare regular and ad-hoc reports on payroll, leave balances, and other key metrics for management.
  • Collaborate with HR to ensure seamless integration of employee data
  • Ensure smooth processes, effective and efficient communication with other departments;
  • Manage the entire employee lifecycle, including onboarding, promotions, transfers, and offboarding, with a strong focus on delivering a positive and seamless experience for employees
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR databases
  • Oversee benefit administration and compliance with company benefit policies;
  • Stay updated on HR industry trends and changes in labor laws to ensure compliance and be a source of guidance to the HR team and Management.
  • Day to day mentoring and guidance to 2-3 more junior members of the team

 

What Makes You a Strong Candidate:

  • A minimum of 3 years of proven experience in a similar role within a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrable up-to-date knowledge of Romanian labor legislation, payroll processes and HR best practices.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English.
  • Solid experience with MS Office, with the ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and social skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
